About Primus Consulting
Dr. Daniel Borison practiced General Surgery in Cleveland from 1992 until 2016. In that time, he served in roles such as Chief of Trauma and Chairman of the Department of Surgery at one of the Cleveland Clinic’s largest suburban campuses.
In 2011, Dr. Borison joined others in founding a national wound care company which provided physician led wound care services in nursing homes in six states. He also served as Chief medical officer but left that position in 2017 to form his own company, Primus Wound Care.
Primus expanded to over 120 nursing homes and assisted living facilities throughout Ohio and recently sold to Encore Health Services.
Dr. Borison remains involved with clinical care and oversight in the nursing home environment. He also lectures and consults with several nursing home chains to improve quality in their wound care programs.
Dr. Borison’s areas of expertise include quality and standards of care, nursing home care and particularly wound care. He focuses on training, education, case review and survey intervention and correction implementation.
